ugh...

Wed Jul 2, 2008, 9:09 PM
So, my cat is quite the hunter. I didn't mind the occasional mouse she brought in because there are millions of them in my area and they're disgusting.

However this is the second day in a row that she's brought a defenseless BABY BIRD into the house, probably from the same nest. =_=; I wish I knew what kind of birds they were too.. the parents squawk all day now probably due to the empty nest... The minute I took the bird away from her she ran outside probably hoping to get another one... bluuugh.

I don't think putting a bell on her would help this case either.. It's not exactly hard to climb a tree and pick a helpless baby out of a nest. : /

Silly animals, gotta hate to love em.

RIP little baby birds. ;-;

Ahh, Mine runs inside right away, she doesnt eat them... just plays with them when they're barely alive/dead. =_=;

My cat has an eating disorder. :U

But that's so cruel ; _; It's the worst when you find the bird barely alive, still in their mouths D;

Our cats did the same thing - mice, moles, birds, baby bunnies, snakes; all waiting for us on the kitchen floor in front of the door like some kind of present.

They don't mean badly! Try not to yell at him/her because chances are they wouldn't understand what they did wrong. If you see them in the act getting ready to attack something, that's when you can shout and they might understand, otherwise there's not much hope - they're just doing what cats do.

Aww poor baby birds.
My mum shouted at my cats alot when they did that, so they never did it again thank god.
I hate it that cats only kill things for fun and then don't eat them. x_x;
Housecats, anyway.

Oh I know they don't know what they're doing. I'd never yell at her, it's instinct after all. <3 I think it's cute that she tries to leave stuff around like a present too. I don't give a crap about the adult mice/birds.. just having dead baby birds two days in a row is depressing..
