So, I keep sitting here willing my tablet to start working.. and hoping someone will post a cheap 6x8 on craigs list. ;o; ..I'm tempted to take the thing apart and see if anything's loose inside from the move.. but knowing me I'll wind up putting it back together again with missing screws or something.

I've been drawing in my sketchbook, and sacrificed a new pair of batteries so my camera could take pictures for all of 3 minutes before it died.

Crappy last minute art/music show paintings!!! I had another, but when it ended I suddenly realized "how the hell am I going to get these home? It's raining out" Thus I gave it to a friend because it was too big to carry.

Also new haircut and glimpse of apartment.

Oh, one more tidbit. I found my old deviantart account.. loool 6 years old! I think the art is only viewable for subscribers at that age. [link]

Finally, internets.

  • Drinking: Water..
So I moved into a new apartment on the 1st and come the next day I went to plug my tablet into its usb slot and nothing. No orange light. No USB slot recognized. Just nothing. After four? Or is it five years my tablet has finally decided to die on me.

Everything I own is kicking it these days, my computer, my tablet, my TV, my fish, my interest in video games... Even my workplace is dying somewhat. At least I can laugh at it all.

Anywhoo, After much annoyance with my ISP and literally nothing to do for the past few days I'm back with an internet connection. However, as noted above I' going insane because all I want to do is draw right now and I cant.

I could draw on paper, but I have no decent ink and no scanner. And being that I'm ultra poor these days I imagine there will be no art from me for a while unless I can find a cheap used tablet.

I also love how my tablet broke when I was supposed to finish a few more digital pieces for that art gallery I was talking about on March 6th. So as a last resort I managed to scrounge up a few bucks to buy two canvases and do some speed acrylic paintings for the gallery. (Pictures coming as soon as I can find a camera that doesn't eat fresh batteries...)

I also got to wake up to two inches of snow on the ground this morning.... it's supposed to be getting warm out.. it's Vancouver.... usually we're barren of cold white stuff on the ground in December, let alone March?!

Crap + Art/Music show.

  • Drinking: Lots and lots o tea.
So, I hate Febuary, this month is to damn short. I'm moving tomorrow and have barely packed anything and I forgot to call my ISP and tell them the change.... so knowing them I'll be without internets for a week or two. *will probably die*

I'm also working on 2-3 more pieces along the same theme of the last deviation I submitted for this art and music show down at Granville Island on March 6th. So if any of you fellow Vancouver watchers want to come feel free to. :3

Those of you on facebook the info is here: [link]

Ontop of that Ive been sick this past week and work is so short staffed that I haven't been able to take a day off. The Cafe I work at recently laid off 4 people and changed our hours into something completely retard.

Soo the end of the day usually involves me and my friend/coworker running around frantically for 4 hours straight like chickens with their heads cut off. I have never been more tired at work than with this change... our cafe is huuuge, somehow they expect one person to do 40 minutes of mopping and sweeping in 30 minutes meanwhile cash out, do dishes, kick customers out, do some inventory and paperwork, clean the espresso bar, and make the entire place sparkling clean... then yell at us if we're there overtime! (Gotta love a boss who compares one of his tiny kiosk stores our loation)

End result, worst virus I've had in a while.

On the bright side I got to sleep in today, plus
my new apartment and bed is ADORABLE and 2 blocks away from work. Annnd I had this local lady call me and ask about dong a childrens book.

I suppose I should stop procrastinating now and get back to packing.

Would anyone object to a massive spam of artwork from me to your inbox? Because I think I might upload a whole crapload of old artwork due to the sparse desert known as my "gallery"

edit:alright, inbox spam in progress.

edit edit: So, now I really want to draw to push all the old art down but I can't find my tablet pen despite seeing it like two hours ago. Go me.

Also it's so damn cold here right now. I've been home from work for over two hours now and I still cant warm up. ;o;

  • Listening to: The Beatles - Happiness is a warm gun.
  • Watching: ..too many top model shows. : /
  • Playing: WoW and RO....
  • Drinking: Pepsi (wow I really never have to change this)
So, I apparently can't draw at all lately. I have a few commissions left that people have already payed 50% of. And I think when I finally finish them no worries on paying the second half. Because I'm seriously having issues drawing something decent... and I know you guys have been waiting a bit. I think the reason for this lack of art is because over a month ago I decided I was going to screw the whole anime style and go for a more classic American comic book style... as a result I'm having issues drawing decent anime-ish work.

*flails*

Oh, I'm also applying to Canada's next top model. XD Bahaha, wish me luck... I figure even if I don't win it's still exposure.
